| The Birmingham area USM Alumni Scholarship Fund was established in May 2000
to fund annual scholarships to be awarded to a Birmingham Area Student that is a
member of the Pride of the South marching band. The goal of the scholarship fund
has been set for $10,000, so far $3,500 has been raised. Matching funds
are available through many of the local employers. Anyone interested in
contributing to the fund should contact Lance Weeks at eagle@southernmissbham.com
